Rainy Day Dreaming

Hope everyone is faring well after Hurricane Sandy. We were incredibly fortunate in our neck of the woods. Despite absolutely terrifying howling winds and the green lightshow the blowing transformers gave us, we didn’t even lose power and junior slept completely through the worst of it. Sandy marks the second hurricane to add to the list of natural disasters he’s been alive for (the list also includes a tornado and an earthquake).  Philly seems to be back to normal today, while New York is in some state of semi-normalcy, despite the lack of subway transit. New Jersey though … Just wow. I can’t even fathom what it must look like there. The aerial views of the devastation are just mind-boggling.

Feeling incredibly thankful today. Thankful for my family. Thankful for a job. Thankful to have been spared again (seriously, have I told you how my dad stayed in Gulfport, Mississippi during Katrina?).
